Personalised Cases With bPay’s contactless payment technology
London, England (September 15, 2016, 10:00 a.m.) Case Station Ltd. today announces a partnership with Barclaycard to combine a range of Case Station-designed protective cases for smartphones with its bPay’s contactless payment technology.
Case Station’s acclaimed smartphone cases are fully personalisable using cutting edge, in-surface decoration technology provided by sister company, IDT Systems Ltd, and are available for many of the UK’s most popular smartphone makes and models. Customer images, text and designs are printed in high resolution photographic quality, literally becoming part of the product in the process.
All the Case Station cases have been created to discreetly hold a small bPay contactless chip, which will allow users to make ‘touch and go’ payments for £30 and under, easily and quickly without fumbling for cash or entering a PIN, wherever they see the contactless symbol; spending can be tracked using the iOS and Android app.
The bPay chip links to a secure digital wallet and can be used by anyone holding a UK-registered Visa or MasterCard debit or credit card. Users conveniently add funds to their wallet on-the-go using the mobile app or online through the bPay web portal, or by setting up an automatic top-up which will add funds when their balance falls below a pre-set level.
The new range of Case Station cases are compatible with a wide range of devices, including iPhone, Samsung Galaxy and LG models, and can be ordered on the Case Station website; once personalised and ordered, the cases will be dispatched within 48 hours.
bPay uses the same technology as contactless card payments and all transactions have the same fraud protection that is applied to contactless cards, and if a smartphone case, or the chip, is lost or stolen, consumers can remotely shut down the contactless accessory via the bPay mobile app or bPay website.
